Dominican Republic Central Bank, Dominican Republic Stock Supervision and Dominican Republic Banking Supervision in conjunction with Bank of Spain and XBRL Spain are pleased to invite you to the I XBRL Symposium in Central America. The event will take place in July 10th – 11th, 2008 at the capital city of Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo.

The goal of the Workshop is to make known and to promote the interest for the utilization of the standard at South America and, in special at Santo Domingo, by the presentation of the regional initiatives and developments at South America in XBRL, and to transmit Spanish XBRL experience, via Bank of Spain.

The audience is wide: senders, propagators and business information users, like banking supervisors, regulators and others.

XBRL – eXtensible Business Reporting Language, is a language for the electronic communication of business and financial data which is revolutionizing business reporting around the world. It provides major benefits in the preparation, analysis and communication of business information. It offers cost savings, greater efficiency and improved accuracy and reliability to all those involved in supplying or using financial data. XBRL is one of a family of "XML" languages which is becoming a standard means of communicating information between businesses and on the internet.
