News > The CNMV launches the XBRL standard in the reception and diffusion of the periodic public information in the Spanish Stock Exchange.

The "Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores / Spanish Stock Exchange Commission" (CNMV), has put operative since July 1 the new standard XBRL of financial exchange of information in the reception and diffusion of the periodic public information (quarterly and semester information) that the listed societies with shares admitted to quotation must send to the supervisor.

The CNMV is founding partner of Association XBRL Spain for the diffusion of this standard of computing format. The XBRL reports prepared by the emitting societies, made public in the CNMV website, are based on taxonomy IPP approved the 30 of June of 2005 by XBRL Spain. This taxonomy gathers the models of financial statements regulated by the CNMV Circular 1/2005 for the introduction of the IFRS/IAS.

With the implantation of this new standard, the CNMV fosters their e-administration and takes a step more in the transparency of the information, making publicly available the financial statements of the societies quoted, in a standard format that facilitates its automated processing by all the stakeholders: emitters, supervisors, analysts, auditors, diffusers, etc.

This information is available in the CNMV website www.cnmv.es at:
